 I have just visited a blog by Jeffrey Shallit on Debunking Crystal Healing. In it he uses Melody’s book “Love is in the Earth” as a reference. He quotes from the book using passages that I must admit are very confusing and even I don’t understand everthing that Melody writes. I always feel that it needs to be explained in a more easily understood format. I know some will think that I should understand what she is say but hey I am not afraid to admit that there is a lot that I do not understand. I think this steams from the language that she uses rather than from the actual meaning. Sometimes it can seem like a different langage. I do know that others feel the same way as I do. Don’t get me wrong I believe that Melody has given us a very valuable resource and some amazing information about Crystals and their healing abilities. I have three of her books on my shelf and refer to them all the time. But I also believe that there are somethings in these books that I find disturbing. You will note this in the comments I made to Jeffrey’s article. I believe in keeping an opened mind on all things and Crystal Healing information is no different. There have been things over the years that I once believed and have had to change my opinion about not just with healing but with people and life in general. Please read my comments I have included a link to Jeffrey’s article so that you will understand my comments in context. Just reading the comments will not explain what is going on.

First let me tell you that I am a Crystal Healer and Reiki Healer. I have no problem with you point of view, I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion. And I do not disagree with you completely. There are some things that need to be cleaned up in the crystal healing area. I never recommend that an elixir should be made by placing a crystal directly into the water(don’t recommend alcohol). And I always caution people to check out the toxicity of a crystal before they use it. If I have the information I include it when telling people about a particualar crystal and I try every avenue that I can to find out if there is a potential problem with a crystal. I also always recommend that Crystal and Reiki healing be used in conjuction with Mainstream Medical treatment. All things should be used in a complimentary way. There are things in Melody’s book that greatly concern me as well, things like say that people could forgo dialysis treatments completely My blood turned cold when I read this statement. Some people who are desperate to be healed could be harmed by some statements. I would like you to know that there are a lot of responsible healers in the world, we only seem to hear about the dangerous ones or the ones that cause a sensation. I would like to thank you for your information on the studies that were done, it was very interesting. You may wonder how I can comment on this matter as I said at the outset I am a healer, I am also 56 years of age and have been using crystals since I was a child. I was drawn to them long before I heard about crystal healing or read a book about their healing properties. So for me I believe in their abilities. I do not ask that you believe what I am saying, I just wanted to give my side of the story. I would ask that you keep writing about this subject bringing up what you feel is relevent and dangerous. We cannot have to much information or opinions on anything as far as I am concerned. I have just found your blog and will becomming back on a regular basis, not only to comment but also to learn. I look forward to your next post.Â

Hello to you all. We all know what its like, things are going fine and then something comes along and pulls us down. I can remeber a time when I used to let every little thing get to me, bringing me down I would take on board everybody elses problems and then blow them way out of proportion. This would just make the situation worse. In the end I got so sick that I had no choice but to change my life patterns (I should have known better being a Crystal Healer but hey sometimes we need a smack over the back of the head to bring us back to the right path). I had moved away from using my crystals for a time and realised that I needed to get back to them, I realised that they had been calling me for quite sometime but I had ignored them. It was at this time that Reiki was introduced into my life. I had heard about it being a healer but had no idea what it was or what was involved. The pull to learn this healing method was so strong I could not get it out of my mind. I consulted the crystals and ask for help. Funny once you ask or set your mind to something it is amazing how quickly it can appear. We lived in the country and never got any of the usual local papers or catalogues delivered to us. One day just after I had asked the crystals for help I found a local paper in my mail box to this day I have no idea how it got there I am just gratiful that it did. Anyway I was reading it over a cuppa and what did I find an ad for a Reiki course. Well off I went to this course and it was just what I needed. I have been using my Crystals and Reiki from then on and even though I sometimes am only using just one of these healing methods, I feel that if the other is needed it just automatically enters into the healing. Lately I have noticed that there has been a lot of interest in “The Secret”. I have watched the video and I also have the book. I realised that I have not only been using a lot of things that are contained in “The Secret” but have also been teaching these principals to my students for years, I have not used all the techniques that are contained within this document, but still have been going down a very similar path to most of the people featured. “The Secret” has been able to explain things in a way that people can easily relate to, and I also think that the world is now ready for this information to become available on a wide scale. Somepeople will read the book or listen to the video and will just pass it off or give it a couple of tries and others will make it a way of life. Whatever you do is your choice and that is fine. I can tell you from my personal experience of using these methods(ones that I have used way before this came onto the market) that they do work. I have a beautiful home that I have always wanted, a wonderful and loving family, great friends and I am very happy with life. That is not to say that sometimes things can appear to go wrong, but when they do I look at what is happening and then change it with my thoughts and actions, I usually apply Crystals and Reiki or just one of these if that is all that is needed and also change my mindset about the situation and all the unpleasentness just goes away and a solution always presents itself. I would recommend that you give one of these methods a try(what the heck try them all) you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. It will take a little time we need to change our way of believing but hey in the long run it will be worth it believe me.
